24-Hour Home Care
For continuity of care, we strive to provide the same caregiver “team” for the full 24-hour rotation. Consistency in the schedule is always our goal in order to provide the best care possible as we learn your loved one’s personality and needs. There is no sleeping break given to the caregiver during a 12-hour visit. 24-hour care is billed at an hourly rate. We are also able to offer a “Live-in” Caregiver as well. Ask us for more information.
Why Do Families Use 24-Hour Care for a Senior?
- Alzheimer’s disease or dementia causes the person to be up at night, sleeping less.
- The client wanders at night.
- The client is more confused at night – sometimes frightened.
- The client has had many night-time falls when headed to the bathroom.
- The family caregiver works full-time and needs to sleep at night.
- The client just feels more secure knowing someone is available all night for trips to the bathroom.
- The client is recovering from surgery or just arrived home from the hospital and temporarily needs extra night-time care.
There are many reasons why a family might implement 24-hour care, either for short-term needs or long-term needs. Talk to us about your current situation. We can set up a plan of care that will meet your needs!

Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Alzheimer’s is the most common form of dementia. Dementia is a progressively disabling disease that causes the person “we know” to virtually disappear before our eyes. Love and kindness are the keys to managing the dementia Client. The experienced Caregiver understands this complicated disease process and copes with the Client behavior by separating the Client from the disease.
The only way into the dementia client’s heart and mind is through love and kindness.
At Aging Assistant Home Care, we understand this unique disease. Not only do we incorporate the latest in dementia care training for our Caregivers, we take pride in our efforts to educate the family members in the various subtleties of dealing with dementia (with respect to communication, behavior, personal care, activities) and ensuring we are applying “disease stage appropriate” techniques.

Hospice Support
Do you have a loved one on Hospice and need more help in the home than what Hospice provides? Many families wish they would have extra support in caring for their loved one while they are hospicing. At Aging Assistant Home Care, we regularly team up with Hospice to provide additional assistance for your loved one and fill in the gaps when Hospice isn’t there, so that you can focus on what really matters: being there for your loved one without the added stress of having to provide the hands on assistance.
Respite Care
In many instances a spouse or other family member is the primary caregiver for their loved one. And, from time to time, they require a break from caregiving to run personal errands, go to appointments or just to take some down time to recharge themselves. Aging Assistant can fill in those care gaps for the primary caregiver. We offer respite care from 6 hours to 24 hours a day. Don’t let yourself get burned out, discouraged or resentful for the valuable care that you are providing your loved one. Call us now to take the break you deserve.
Companion Care
Loneliness is one of the most frequent complaints of Seniors as they age. Friends and family pass on and Seniors are left without their peer support group that they once had. Are you looking for emotional support and companionship for your loved one so that they can remain independent at home? At Aging Assistant Home Care, our team of caregivers work hard at engaging and bonding with our clients. We provide a wide array of activities that help make a senior's life more full, like outings, games, reading, cards, scrapbooking, exercise, etc.

How Do You Pay?
Private Pay
Typically, your medical insurance will only pay for in-home medical care which is provided by a Home Health agency. Therefore, most of our clients pay for their care assistance out of pocket – using their own funds. We are now seeing some Medicare Advantage insurance companies beginning to cover a few hours of our in-home care assistance as well. Talk with your Medicare Advantage insurance provider to see if their plan will cover your in-home private duty care assistance.
Veterans' Aid & Attendance Benefits
Are you a Veteran or a Surviving Spouse of a Veteran and are you looking for assistance in the home? We can help you navigate the VA benefits application process and make the most of your situation so that you can remain right where you are - home sweet home. In 1952, Congress passed Title 38 of the United States Code, creating what we now call the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), which authorizes benefits for veterans. One of these benefits is the Non-Service Connected Pension with “Aid and Attendance.” Call today to get the help you need to see if you qualify!
Long Term Care Insurance Benefits
Aging Assistant accepts Long Term Care insurance to pay for our services. Each policy is different so it is important to know the specific details of your policy and to contact your LTC insurance company prior to the start of our service. Our office staff will help you to submit the necessary documents.
